Orlando "Rod" Richmond is a partner in the firm's Ridgeland, Mississippi office focusing on Drug and Medical Device, Product Liability and Personal Injury Law. Richmond is a member of the firm's Executive Committee and has previously served on the firm's Equity Committee. He is also heavily involved in the firm's diversity efforts.

Richmond, whose practice is almost exclusively litigation, typically serves as lead or co-lead counsel in the defense of complex matters, to include significant work in challenging venues. He has participated in mass tort litigation involving pharmaceutical products, toxic and environmental suits and a host of other disputes in numerous jury trials in state and federal venues. His work has involved development of the management and strategies to be employed in trials as well as implementing those strategies through jury consumable presentation or cross-examination of medical, scientific and industry experts as well as opening statements and closing arguments. He has built a commendable reputation particularly related to his oral advocacy and calm demeanor during trial.

Richmond's litigation background of nearly 25 years includes service in the United States Marine Corps as a JAG Officer. Having graduated first in his class from the Naval Justice School and winning the trial competition there, he went on to fulfill roles as Chief Defense Counsel, Chief Prosecutor and was nominated as Outstanding Young Marine Corps Lawyer.

He is Chambers USA ranked and an AV-rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell whose work has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, Mid-South Super Lawyers, Benchmark Litigation Magazine - Litigation Star, Who's Who Legal Product Liability Defence and Lawyers of Color Hot List – Southwest Region 2014, among many others. Richmond's memberships include: Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation; American Bar Association; Magnolia Bar Association; American Board of Trial Advocates; DRI; International Association of Defense Counsel; and American Society of Legal Advocates. He has served on Mississippi Governor's Judicial Appointments Advisory Committee; Bench-Bar Liaison Committee; and is a Past President of the Litigation/General Practice Section of the Mississippi Bar Association. He has also been a presenter at numerous legal conferences or CLE events, often addressing topics related to opening statements and closings arguments, among others. Richmond is active in his church, where he has served as bi-vocational pastor for nearly two decades. He is also quite active in his community and involved in various social causes. He has been the duly appointed City Attorney for West Point, Mississippi since 2005.

Richmond is a 1986 graduate of Jackson State University and earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1989.
